We at DuoQuest ("the App") take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account data: Name, email address, date of birth, and profile information you provide during registration.
- Profile content: Photos, voice clips, and text you upload to your profile.
- Game activity: Your responses in interactive games and matching decisions (save/pass).
- Messages: Chat messages exchanged between matched users.
- Location: Approximate and precise location, and any area or address you set, used to show nearby matches and the distance between you. You can set your area manually instead of using device location.
- Sensitive information: Your gender and the gender(s) you are interested in, which may indicate sexual orientation, used to show you relevant matches.
- Device data: FCM token for push notifications, device type, and operating system version.
- Usage data: Interactions with the App, pages visited, and feature usage.
- Purchase data: Records of premium subscriptions you buy through Apple or Google, used to grant premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Operate and improve the App and its features.
- Facilitate user matching and game interactions.
- Send push notifications about game activity and matches.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Ensure safety, detect fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Other users: Your profile information (name, photos, voice clips) is visible to other users as part of the service.
- Service providers: Firebase (Google) for push notifications; AI providers for game hint generation. These providers process data only as instructed.
- Payment processors: Apple and Google process premium subscription payments. We receive only a purchase confirmation and transaction identifier — never your full payment card details.
- Legal authorities: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption and secure server infrastructure to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt out of push notifications at any time via Profile settings.
- Data portability where technically feasible.

8. Cookies & Storage
The App uses browser session storage to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Google OAuth may set cookies during the authentication flow; these are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will delete their account and data promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
